Abstract:
La Composición del Sistema de seguridad social desempeña un
papel clave en el logro del desarrollo sostenible y la justicia social y
se debe garantizar su acceso para todas las personas.
El sistema de seguridad social incluye beneficios familiares y por
niño o niña, las prestaciones de maternidad, desempleo, accidentes
del trabajo y enfermedades profesionales, así como las pensiones
de vejez, invalidez y sobrevivientes, y la protección de la salud;
abordando todas estas ramas mediante una combinación de
regímenes contributivos (seguro social) y de prestaciones no
contributivas financiadas con impuestos, en particular estímulos
sociales como los que se otorgan con recursos del Fondo de
Asignaciones Familiares.
Las acciones para garantizar la Seguridad Social forman parte
sustantiva de todo el quehacer del Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad
Social y de instituciones como el IMAS, la CCSS, El PANI, el INAMU
y el Ministerio de Salud, entre otras.
En materia laboral las entidades y las empresas a través de sus
patronos deben cumplir con los procedimientos establecidos en la
legislatura vigente amparada en la Constitución Política, El Código
de Trabajo y sus reformas, si como los decretos y reglamentos
establecidos según corresponda a casos, para realizar el debido
proceso y cumplir con la seguridad social de los trabajadores.
