Abstract:
En primer lugar, se estudia en área con discapacidad motora considerando algunos términos que se relacionan con el tema en cuestión, entre estos: deficiencia, discapacidad, minusvalía, discapacidad motora. Según el tipo de deficiencia motora estas se clasifican de acuerdo la posición por localización (parálisis, hemiplejía, paraplejía y cuadriplejía). Por el tipo de origen se clasifican en origen cerebral, origen espinal, origen muscular y origen óseo-articular. Con relación al tipo de origen que genera una discapacidad motora, se realiza una ampliación de los términos y se valoran los aspectos más importantes de ellos. En segundo lugar, se aborda el área con discapacidad mental, la discapacidad mental se caracteriza por una función intelectual significativamente más baja que la media y limitaciones relacionadas en dos o más de las siguientes áreas de habilidades de adaptación: comunicación, cuidado personal, vida familiar, habilidades sociales, uso comunitario, autonomía, salud y seguridad, habilidades académicas prácticas, de ocio y laborales, y se manifiestan antes de los 18 años.

In the first place, the area with motor disability is studied considering some terms related to the subject in question, among these: deficiency, disability, handicap, motor disability. According to the type of motor impairment these are classified according to the position by location (paralysis, hemiplegia, paraplegia and quadriplegia). By type of origin they are classified as cerebral origin, spinal origin, muscular origin and bone-articular origin. In relation to the type of origin that generates a motor disability, the terms are expanded and the most important aspects of them are evaluated. Secondly, the area with mental disability is addressed. Mental disability is characterized by significantly lower than average intellectual function and related limitations in two or more of the following areas of adaptive skills: communication, self-care, family life, social skills, community use, autonomy, health and safety, practical academic, leisure and work skills, and manifests itself before the age of 18.
