Abstract:
Description:
This research study aims to evaluate and diagnose the relationship between internal control mechanisms and transparency in the processing of financial information at Repuestos Eléctricos y Comunicaciones Reycom S.A. The analysis focuses on the company's operations, where asset management, revenue recognition from technical services, and the custody of telecommunications supplies require a robust control environment that supports organizational profitability and ensures the efficient and ethical management of institutional resources. In this context, accounting management serves as a fundamental component of the organization, supported by the application of regulations and procedures designed to ensure the reliability and fairness of financial information. However, the coexistence of empirical processes and the absence of a formalized documentation structure have created significant challenges for the company. Timely operational reporting and accurate valuation of inventory are critical factors in meeting the expectations of shareholders and regulatory authorities within a highly competitive environment. The research further examines how the absence of preventive controls has contributed to the generation of material discrepancies in the financial statements for the 2025 period. Additionally, it explores the causes of overdue accounts receivable accumulation and the lack of consistency between physical inventory movements and accounting records. This analytical approach provides a deeper understanding of the current administrative framework and supports the development of improvement proposals aimed at enhancing the quality of financial information and strengthening the protection of corporate assets. Finally, the study is presented as a strategic tool for the professionalization of Reycom S.A.'s organizational structure through the implementation of solutions such as the digitalization of operational reports and the standardization of accounting closing criteria.
