El concepto de los sistemas democráticos surge entre las relaciones que se producen entre los detentadores y los destinatarios del poder en un estado, expresadas mediante la existencia permanente de
instituciones gubernamentales. Por otro lado, la tipología de los sistemas políticos solo puede captarse a partir de los elementos como la ideología que los permea, las instituciones que correspondan a esta y las instituciones y órganos que integran la maquinaria estatal; como por ejemplo: gobierno, parlamento, tribunales, entre otras instancias.
